Morning People present the return of Out of Sorts.

Out of Sorts is brothers Barton and Hayden Strom – also the masterminds behind cult electronic act Antix. Despite being relatively little-known on their home shores, the brothers have performed at some of the world’s largest parties and festivals, playing to crowds in excess of 15,000 people.

Their releases have been supported and played by some of the world’s biggest DJs, including John Digweed, Sasha, King Unique, Dave Seaman, Paul Oakenfield and Laurent Garnier.

Lisbon, Zurich, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Antwerp, Paris, Copenhagen, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Denver, Tel Aviv, Berlin, Tokyo,  Mexico City, London, Amsterdam, Athens, Vienna, New York – on Wednesday 1st November it’s Auckland’s turn to experience the brothers’ magic, this time with Barton Strom playing as deep tech project Out of Sorts.

Squeezed between dates in South America and Bali, DJ, producer and cosmic sonic adventurer Herman Saiz plays his Morning People debut on Wednesday 8th November. A skilled producer and an in-demand DJ, Herman’s intergalactic wanderings have seen him play at festivals across the globe, including Songkram (Thailand), Techno Tales (India), Argambay Festival (Sri Lanka), Earthdance (Chile), Luminate (NZ) and Bay Dreams (NZ).

Morning People present the return of DJ Piet Borgh.

Having just touched down from an extended production sabbatical in Thailand, on Wednesday 15th November producer and DJ Piet Borgh plays Morning People. With over 15 years behind the decks, he has played some of NZ’s most renowned electronic music festivals, and his releases have graced the catalogues of Germany’s legendary Iboga records and Spain’s MikelaBella Records.

Returning to Morning People for the third time, those that experienced his first two sets will know that this is a morning not to be missed.

Morning People are proud to present New Zealand electronic music heavyweight Daniel Farley.

Daniel Farley has been a mainstay in the New Zealand dance scene for well over a decade, from winning best DJ at the Nite:Life awards in 2010/2011, right up to winning best venue at the 2017 GeorgeFM awards with his club creation IMPALA. As a producer, under the alias TERACE he has remixed the likes of Rufus, Peking Duk, Flume, Miami Horror, and more. 

He is an owner of record label Medium Rare Recordings, as well as event company Red Rum Touring, and house and techno brand in Australia Charades. He runs several festivals across the country and internationally, including Your Paradise Fiji, Hidden Valley, and Summer Classic. Having toured hundreds of international acts across his career means his musical taste and reportoire is vast and eclectic. 

His style these days has evolved into solid, upfront house music, with the odd classic thrown in for good measure.

Morning People present the return of DJ + producer extraordinaire, Dick ‘Magik’ Johnson. 

Dick got his start as a fresh-faced teenager in the mid-80’s as a resident DJ at Manchester’s legendary Hacienda nightclub. Since then he’s played to crowds from Russia to Argentina, he’s produced alongside some of the most respected names in dance music, and has remixed tracks for electronic luminaries DJ Sneak, Crookers, Claude Von Stroke, Ian Pooley and Bassnectar. 

Dick is a founding member of electro-world dance phenomena Weird Together, (signed to Major Lazer’s Feel Up Records), and adds his touch of magic to the airwaves on Friday afternoons on George FM.
