CHRISTCHURCH: Morning People x World Buskers Festival Outdoor Party feat. 2XM (Live)

Ōtautahi! We’re heading outdoors for our first party of 2026, settling into the gothic surrounds of The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora for a special sunrise session as part of The World Buskers Festival.

On Saturday 24 January, we’re welcoming 2XM for a rare live Morning People performance. Ben and Liam Murray have spent the last eight years crafting an unmistakable sound together - shaped by everything from classical and jazz training to hip-hop, club culture and a few unexpected influences along the way.

Their music has landed on labels including Eton Messy, Sengiley, GLBDOM, Slothboogie, Café del Mar and Dansu Discs, and their debut album Love Unbound opened the door to standout moments like Boiler Room, Rhythm & Alps and touring with Jasper Tygner. Propulsive and built for the dancefloor, 2XM’s live set is perfectly suited to a morning dance under open skies.

As always, Morning People magic will be served alongside complimentary Altezano Brothers coffee, Karma Drinks, and delicious All Good bananas. Morning People in Ōtautahi is supported by the legends at RDU 98.5FM

Alcohol free, all ages, dress to sweat.

AUCKLAND: Morning People Lucky Star Outdoor Extravaganza feat. Patsy Skeet + AlleyKat

GET TICKETS

We’re shooting moonbeams to announce a special one-off collision with mischief-makers, mayhem merchants and shenanigan curators The Lucky Star Extravaganza for a Morning People party like no other.

Landing on Waitangi Day, the outdoor sunrise spectacular takes over Craigavon Park for two hours of dancefloor delirium and unhinged festival magic.

Expect all the Morning People magic you know and love, replete with peak Lucky Star antics - sword swallowing, fire breathing, Rachel the Rooster and the magnificent 10-person horse.

Wear your boldest festival dress-ups and get amongst the Pia fashion show as it struts, sashays and surprises its way through the crowd. Wear the fashion, win the glory.

Soundtracking the spectacle are two spectacular, festival-seasoned selectors, perfectly matched to the madness.

Psychedelic disco punk queen Patsy Skeet joins the Lucky Star universe for a micro-explosion of macro conditions, designed to elevate, disorient and delight. Mixing UK rave culture with 80s camp drama and cosmic theatrics, Patsy rides a wave of stardust straight through the dancefloor. Inspired by David Bowie and Vivienne Westwood, and beloved at AUM, Splore and Shipwrecked - welcome to the weird, wonderful world of Patsy Skeet.

Rascal, rapscallion and bass connoisseur AlleyKat brings fun, grit and serious low-end energy. Mining the crates for timeless gems, he layers and reworks them over bass-driven tech, garage and deep house, creating grunty, joyful sets that pull the dancefloor together.

Alcohol-free, kid-friendly and lightly unhinged (in a good way). Bring the whānau, the crew and your best bad ideas.

Powered by Altezano Brothers coffee, All Good bananas and Karma Drinks.

SYDNEY: Morning People feat. Nick Reverse (ITA / AU)

MORNING RAVE, SYDNEY!

Morning People is back! On Friday 19 December, set your alarms and make your way to Oxford Art Factory for a morning with Italian-born, Sydney-based beat boss Nick Reverse.

After nearly a decade of remixing mornings across Aotearoa New Zealand - 200+ events, 30,000+ dancers, and an unshakable belief that the best parties don’t always happen after dark - Morning People has officially arrived in Sydney. And we’re just getting started.

Leading round two is Nick Reverse, an artist who needs no introduction in Sydney’s electronic scene. Born in Salerno and raised on his father’s vinyl collection, Nick has spent almost twenty years perfecting a sound that fuses unmistakable Italian groove with the grit of modern tech house and techno.

As founder of WeLove Recordings, and with releases on 303Lovers, La Pera, Klaphouse, Set About, Phobiq, Too Many Rules - plus sets alongside Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, and for brands like elrow, PURE and Resistance - Nick knows exactly how to turn a dancefloor inside out before breakfast.

Expect a full-throttle club experience before most people have checked their emails: big sound and lights, sweaty catharsis, and a sunrise serotonin boost - all before 8:00am.

In usual Morning People fashion, dancefloor heat will be served alongside complimentary fresh-plunged coffee, fruit, and non-alc drinks thanks to the legends at Karma Drinks.

Alcohol-free, dress to sweat.
