Direct from Ōtautahi for one show only, Morning People Tāmaki Makaurau presents Beacon Bloom (DJ Set)

Set your alarm, and get ready for Beacon Bloom, playing Morning People in Tāmaki Makaurau for the first time.

Beacon Bloom is the love-child of musical nomad Ryan Ferris, who has spent the last few years in 22 countries, following the sun while writing and performing.

Midnights in Berlin, hazy sunburn in Mallorca and Lisbon, the effervescent hum of Prague and Sydney and the sleepy stillness of hometown Christchurch have all culminate in the Beacon Bloom sound.

The Beacon Bloom star is definitely on the rise - their tracks have reached over 4 million streams, they’ve played two US tours, incuding playing the infamous Burning Man festival and a string of fancy people count themselves fans including RÜFÜS DU SOL, David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold and Snoop Dogg.

In our first party since flooding the Ōtautahi streets with house music and endorphins, Morning People is back, this time featuring eclectic electronic selector BYTE SIZE!

Originally from Canada and now nestled deep in the Marlborough Sounds, BYTE SIZE is a sonic adventurer and super spreader of tasty tunes. From punchy progressive house and techno to hot buttered breaks, organic electronica, afrobeat and slinky nu disco, BYTE SIZE crafts dynamic dance floor journeys full of sonic swagger.

Her multi-genre sets have lit dance floors at festivals and events across Aotearoa including Rhythm & Alps, Twisted Frequency, Tora Bombora, Relish, Mary Hush, Dimension, Brazen and Shipwrecked, and on Thursday 16th May it’s Morning People’s turn to experience the magic..

Expect early morning dancefloor mayhem, silly grins, hot shapes, complimentary Altezano Brothers coffee, All Good bananas and ice cold Karma kombucha, all before 8am.
