For the past five years, Hide has been Morning People’s home in Ōtautahi, hosting countless early-morning adventures and sweaty dancefloor moments. With the venue closing its doors, it’s time for one final dance.

On Thursday 25 June, we’re returning for a special send-off, with Morning People founder Jamie Newman stepping up on the decks for a rare Christchurch appearance, fresh off the back of playing Morning People’s 10th Birthday celebration at the Auckland Town Hall alongside Tiki Taane.

With over 20 years behind the decks, Jamie has played everywhere from forests and beaches to clubs, airwaves and festivals including Burning Man (USA), 121 Festival, The Gathering and Splore. A lifelong music collector, curator and creator, his sets are built for the dancefloor - drawing on decades of digging, producing and party-starting.

Don’t miss this last opportunity to squeeze in one more dance, one more sunrise, and one more coffee with the crew in a room that has become part of Morning People's Christchurch story.

And while this is the last Morning People at Hide, it’s not the last Morning People in Christchurch - we’ll be back, just somewhere new.

As always, Morning People magic will be served alongside complimentary Altezano Brothers coffee, Karma Drinks, and delicious All Good bananas.
